We are looking for an individual with a passion for engineering and a desire to work on cutting-edge projects with multiple key clients. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of radio communications solutions, including infrastructure design, and will be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver complex communications projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a wide range of radio communications solutions, including infrastructure design.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver complex communications projects.
  • Prepare and review technical design documentation.
  • Design, manage and maintain standard documentation and specifications.
  • Design, develop and implement technical solutions to address network issues.
  • Prepare acceptance testing plans, procedures and test scripts.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve serious service incidents, including hardware and software faults.
  • Engage in Root Cause Analysis for incidents and LTE Core and OAM network issues.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and identify solutions for new services additions.
  • Lead FAT, SAT and commissioning of implemented solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mission critical communication and operational technologies, specifically in the mining and oil and gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of design, configuration, commissioning, testing, integration and validation of transmission/microwave/voice mobile radio in the mining and oil and gas sector.
  • Hands-on experience with Tetra and P25 communication solutions is highly beneficial.
  • Experience utilising Root Cause Analysis techniques to troubleshoot and problem solve network issues.
  • Ability to document and report design solutions and review documentation and design deliverables.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and technical communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Electronic engineering or the equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the design of mission critical communication and operational technologies.
