Family Support and Inclusion Officer Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the newly created Family Support and Inclusion Officer position. This role is a key part of our team, responsible for supporting families through the orientation process, assisting with child settling into their learning environments, and providing guidance on managing behavioural concerns.

This challenging yet rewarding role involves initiating difficult conversations with families, connecting them with community resources, and guiding them through government funding processes. You will work closely with Centre Leadership Teams, Room Leaders, and families to ensure the best outcomes for children's wellbeing and development.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support families during the orientation process
  • Assist with child settling into their learning environment
  • Provide guidance on managing behavioural concerns
  • Initiate difficult conversations with families
  • Connect families with community resources
  • Guide families through government funding processes
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or above)
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training certificates
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
  • Mandatory Reporting Training
  • Familiarity with early childhood development and behavioural strategies
  • Understanding of community resources and government funding processes
