About Our Stroke and Medical Unit

Northern Beaches Hospital is a leading healthcare provider with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Our hospital features 486 beds, including a 32-bed private ward consisting of 6 dedicated stroke unit beds and 26 general medical beds.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Acute Stroke/Medical Unit. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in an acute hospital setting
  • Clinical Decision Making: Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused
  • Clinical Expertise: Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Teamwork: Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
  • Patient-Centred Care: Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
  • Roster: Flexibility with shift allocations and the commitment to work a rotating roster
