Job Overview

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and completing repairs to engines at the customer's site.

This role is part of our mechanical field service team, working across various market segments including Automotive, Mining, Industrial, and Agriculture.

You will make an impact in the following ways:

  1. Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner, anticipating and ensuring prompt attention to their needs.

  2. Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, identifying and preparing required parts and tools.

  3. Perform preventative maintenance activities on engine and related components as per documented schedules and standards.

  4. Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced technicians and/or supervisor.

  5. Complete required documentation, including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents.

  6. Identify additional service opportunities with customers.

  7. Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.

  8. Maintain service vehicles and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

  9. Ensure adherence to Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues/incidents to site management and supervisors.

  10. Complete workshop repairs as required.

Responsibilities
  • Full-time work (38 hours/week)
  • On-call roster (1 week/month)
  • Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours
  • All safety equipment/PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered
  • Valid driver's license required
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Apprentice-trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent
  • Basic level of workshop or field service experience required
  • Basic knowledge of engine products
  • Heavy vehicle experience preferred
