Climate Change Mitigation and Agroforestry Opportunity

Sustainable development, environmental conservation, and community engagement are the focus of our climate change mitigation and agroforestry program in Ecuador. As a volunteer, you will work with local communities on forest conservation and agroforestry projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist farmers, foresters, park rangers, and environmental engineers in sustainable land use and biodiversity conservation efforts
  • Learn about national and local initiatives to mitigate climate change and support ongoing projects to promote eco-friendly practices, implement environmental education programs, and make the region more resilient to climate change
  • Engage with Amazonian cultures and their connection to ethnobotany, agroforestry, and plant medicine
Requirements:
  • Entry-level position
  • Interest in climate change mitigation, sustainable development, and environmental conservation
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and communicate effectively with local communities
