We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Nurse Specialist. As a key member of our inpatient care team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients' responses to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support patients' mental health recovery, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies to promote empowerment and recovery.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health inpatient care, with a strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment options.
  • Qualifications: Current AHPRA registration and a strong educational background in nursing, with a focus on mental health.
