Job Title: Embedded Software Team Lead

Overview:

This is a permanent full-time opportunity for experienced firmware engineers in Adelaide, Australia. Candidates must be open to working 4 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for IoT modules, silicon, and devices with an emphasis on satellite IoT connectivity.
  • Develop and optimize communication protocols for IoT systems prioritizing reliability and low power consumption.
  • Integrate IoT firmware with hardware components such as microcontrollers, communication modules, and external networks.
  • Implement over-the-air firmware update systems.
  • Verify and validate the performance, security, and reliability of IoT systems through comprehensive testing.
  • Produce technical documentation including specifications, APIs, and user manuals.
  • Apply security protocols to safeguard IoT devices and data through encryption, authentication, and operating system hardening.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define project requirements, participate in peer reviews, and ensure timely project completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in coding in C language.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded Linux and Linux shell scripting, or with embedded systems based on microcontrollers.
  • Previous involvement throughout the complete product lifecycle.
  • A strong passion for working in a dynamic environment.
