Job Title: Director Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our senior leadership team as the Director Operations.

  • This is a key role that supports the Commissioner in managing a high-performing multi-disciplinary team that provides strategic advice, operational engagement, policy, performance, and communications.
  • You will be responsible for leading a team that directs external engagement and internal performance, providing expert operational advice on the Commissioner's functions, statutory responsibilities, and service deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the Commission's Operations team, driving complex legislative and policy change to enhance the Commission's undertaking of its statutory obligations and regulatory functions.
  2. Develop and manage practice systems and processes required to effectively prepare and deliver the Commission's strategic and operational plans.
  3. Establish and manage the Commission's performance framework, including a supporting data management system that enables effective analysis and reporting for both operational and organisational performance oversight and reporting.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in delivering senior level strategic and organisational advice, government policy reform, and performance delivery.
  • Experience in leading a team that is central to the performance of the Commissioner's functions under the Legal Profession Act 2007.
  • Senior peoples' leadership skills with a focus on partnership working with internal and external stakeholders.
