Investment Director Role

This senior investment leadership position leads the development of compelling investment propositions to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, discussing opportunities across various asset classes, educating private bankers, and driving new business leads.

The Investment Director collaborates closely with our business areas, reporting to the Executive Manager – Private Wealth Distribution. They present and position our investment proposition to HNW and UHNW clients, discuss investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, educate and train private bankers on investment markets and opportunities, develop new business leads and opportunities from existing clients and external networks, conduct roundtable discussions with existing and potential investors, lead deep conversations with clients for wealth engagement, engage stakeholders across the organization to enhance client and banker engagement, support private bankers in investment insights, thematics, and broad investment opportunities, measure business growth and client satisfaction.

To achieve these objectives, the Investment Director updates clients on changes in financial markets consistent with our house views, shares insights and expertise across all asset classes, communicates our value proposition to support client meetings, mentors, seeks feedback, and supports team capabilities to deliver our strategy, takes a collaborative approach to client management working effectively with private bankers and their clients, builds trust and confidence by engaging with private bankers, business partners, and external providers, updates clients on their holdings and investment markets, delivers business growth goals and milestones, understands and adheres to complex legal, regulatory, risk, and policy frameworks, operates within compliance, audit, and risk requirements, completes and maintains compliance requirements and continual education, builds constructive relationships within our organization to ensure engagement is optimized with bankers and clients, and builds business and account plans to meet revenue targets aligning with broader organizational objectives.

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Economics, Finance, Business, or related discipline is required.
  • 10+ years of frontline experience in financial markets/investment management/investment market sales is essential.
  • Experience across a broad asset class spectrum including Equities, Fixed Income, Real Estate, and Alternatives is necessary.
  • Experience in UHNW/HNW client segments is crucial.
  • Driving business development and organizational change is key.
