We seek Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join the combined Defence maintenance facility team at Simpson Barracks, VIC. This full-time role involves conducting routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of heavy military vehicles, from 4WDs to tanks.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary of $34.06 per hour, plus a fortnightly allowance of $973.94.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance tasks such as inspection, diagnostics, and repairs on Light, Medium, and Heavy Vehicles and Plant Equipment
  • Completing service tasks on equipment during routine maintenance
  • Replacing or repairing damaged parts following inspections and effectively diagnosing problems to perform technical work on various vehicles
  • Ensuring adherence to all regulatory and contract-specific requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working on Heavy commercial vehicles
  • Able to inspect, repair, and maintain Light, Medium, and/or Heavy vehicles to a medium level of repair
  • A MR, HR, or HC licence (desirable)
  • A current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's Licence
