Job Description

The Leasing Paralegal will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and finalising lease documents in our Property & Projects team based in Sydney.

You will have carriage of your own files under the supervision of a senior lawyer and partner. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of leasing experience in a busy, high volume role, excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a high number of matters simultaneously, an innovative mindset, and the ability to produce high quality work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting all types of lease documents;
  • Negotiating and finalising lease agreements;
  • Maintaining and updating client precedents;
  • Liaising with clients and tenants or their representatives, as well as internal team members and stakeholders;
  • Managing the lease renewal process;
  • Advising on matters ancillary to leases;
  • Recording time accurately.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of leasing experience in a high volume role;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • An innovative approach to problem-solving;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality results;
  • Experience working with PEXA; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
