Job Description:

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Prince of Wales Hospital.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be a vital part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing person-centred care to patients.

You will strive to ensure that patients receive exceptional care that is safe, high-quality, and compassionate.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver nursing care in accordance with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Boards Standards of Practice.
  • Ensure patient rights, confidentiality, dignity, and respect are upheld.
  • Accept accountability and responsibility for your actions.
  • Interpret information from various sources to contribute to planning appropriate patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse, patient, and healthcare team when developing care plans.
  • Provide skilled and timely care while promoting patient independence and involvement in care decision-making.
  • Communicate and document patient care effectively.
  • Practice evidence-based nursing care.
  • Operate within safety and quality improvement guidelines and standards.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA, including Medication endorsement.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience as an Enrolled Nurse relevant to a specific healthcare setting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to use health information systems.
  • Capacity to advocate for and implement person-centred practice.
  • Application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively.
