About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Peer Facilitator. You'll be working with Carers to provide structured group sessions that promote recovery, foster connections, and build strong communities.

In this role, you'll be trained to deliver engaging group sessions on topics such as stress management, communication skills, and navigating systems like the NDIS and My Aged Care. You'll also have the opportunity to work with young Carers (up to 25 years old) and adult Carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structured group sessions for Carers using the CHIME recovery framework, peer support principles, and reflective practice
  • Create safe, inclusive spaces where Carers can share, learn, and grow together
  • Draw on your own lived experience as a Carer to support the learning of others
Requirements
  • Lived experience as a young Carer or adult Carer
  • Certificate IV or above in a support discipline and/or equivalent Community sector experience
  • Evidence of working rights within Australia (birth cert/passport/visa)
  • Driving Licence
  • National Police Check (12 months old) and Working with Children's Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
