About the Opportunity

Mater Private Hospital Townsville is looking for dedicated professionals to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team within the Perioperative Services Department.

Our Perioperative Services Department provides surgical services across 16 theatres, catering for adults and paediatrics with a variety of surgical specialties.

Delivering exceptional patient care, demonstrating a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of appropriate and accurate application of clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status
  • Identifying and applying timely care intervention for best patient outcomes
  • Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
  • Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting with relevant Cath Lab or Cardiac experience
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
  • Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
  • Effective communication and clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care outcomes
  • Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
