Job Title: Strategic Leadership Advisor

About our organization:

We are the primary provider of fire, rescue, and emergency management programs and services throughout Queensland.

We encompass the Queensland Fire and Rescue, Rural Fire Service Queensland, and also support other volunteer groups providing emergency response to Queenslanders.

Our purpose is to help the community prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the impact of fire and emergency events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team that provides input for the review of our capability by providing valuable insights into how capability has performed through the analysis of internal and external lessons.
  • Develop case studies and operational review reports from the internal lessons' management process.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the ongoing management of lessons, including facilitation and presentation of lessons outcomes.
  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders to support efficient processes for initiating action plans to address recommendations and insights.
  • Lead analysis activities, including articulation of lessons debrief and review requirements.
  • Manage and conduct analysis on all external and internal reviews and reports.

Requirements

  • Highly desirable: Knowledge and experience in lessons management principles and processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Queensland Disaster Management Arrangements.
