We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Tritium Power Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing world-leading power modules for our fast charger products.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement power module designs that meet or exceed performance and reliability requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve user experience and product operation through software and control enhancements
- Optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) cost, reliability, and serviceability
- Develop and implement verification tests to ensure power module performance conforms to specifications
- Work closely with the Software Development and Integration Lab (SDIL) and lead module engineers to develop EMS, IQC, and EOL firmware for functional testing of modules and Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
- Contribute to the product roadmap, particularly the power module and technology roadmap
- Suggest and drive technical innovation that balances cost, resources, and features
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Power Electronics Engineer with a strong background in high-power electronics, power circuit topologies, and control systems. You will have a deep understanding of inverter, DC/DC, IGBT, MOSFET, and vehicle communication networks, including CANbus and associated protocols.
**Requirements:**
- Deep knowledge of High Power electronics, Power Circuit Topologies, and Control systems
- High Power Electronics experience in circuit and component level design
- Product experience in power conversion, independent power systems, and high power/high current systems
- Experience in design for EMC, DFM/DFT considerations, and design for volume manufacture
- Experience using simulation tools for power, frequency, integrity, and thermal assessments
- Ability to work in a reactive and pressured environment
- Good communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Ability to consistently work to a high standard with minimal supervision
