About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join our Anthropology team at the Northern Land Council (NLC). As a Research Assistant, you will play a vital role in collating anthropological material, applying preservation techniques, and leading digitization efforts within the LIR Library.

Key responsibilities include administrative support and ensuring seamless service delivery to stakeholders. To succeed in this role, you will bring exceptional time management skills, a proven track record of managing multiple tasks, and the ability to work in confidential settings.

What You Will Bring:
  • A minimum Certificate IV in Library Information Services or equivalent qualification, or a related field, and/or a minimum of one year experience working in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience of office software, as well as familiarity with collection management databases and other specialized computer applications.
  • Experience in materials conservation practices and techniques, cultural heritage conservation, or the ability to rapidly acquire.
Salary and Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your research skills in a variety of projects. The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $66,333 per annum, plus 14.5% superannuation, and salary sacrificing up to $15,900. Additional benefits include Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation allowances up to $2,650 per year.
