Intensive Care Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This role involves providing exceptional care to critically ill patients and their families in a 1:1 and 2:1 patient-to-nurse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering care that is tailored to the individual needs of each patient, taking into account their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Intensive Care Nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
