At the forefront of a growing industry, we are seeking an exceptional professional to lead our soil carbon initiatives. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a driven and results-oriented individual with a strong background in mixed farming business and agribusiness development.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned expert to provide leadership and guidance to our soil carbon program. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in building new business opportunities, developing high-quality projects, and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.

The role involves:

  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to build new business opportunities in the soil carbon sector;
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to landholders, advisors, and other stakeholders on soil carbon projects;
  • Working closely with our team to ensure seamless project delivery and compliance with relevant regulations;
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including growers, advisors, and regulatory bodies;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Tertiary education in Agribusiness, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science, or Agro-ecology;
  • Additional qualifications or experience in Project Management, Business Development, or Business Administration would be highly valued;
  • A strong network in agribusiness, with the capacity to grow it;
  • Knowledge and experience of carbon farming, the ACCU Scheme, and production systems and environmental constraints;
  • A willingness and capability for regional work and associated travel;
