National Logistics Manager for APG Express Network

About the Role

Linfox Intermodal seeks an experienced National Manager to lead our APG Express Network in West Melbourne.

This key role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable services for one of our major customers.

The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to enhance service performance, operational efficiency, and financial results.

The role also focuses on fostering a positive team culture, including staff and driver engagement, retention, safety, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure Vision Zero is a daily priority, with safety at the forefront of every action.
  2. Achieve agreed Safety goals, aligned with Intermodals Safety strategy and specific annual Site Safety Plans, or real-time changes in safety performance.
  3. Work with the customer to identify new opportunities to grow our share of wallet through service excellence and collaboration in go-to-market activities.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service in all aspects of the operation and maintain high standards of integrity in service offerings, administration, and communication.
  5. Communicate Intermodal's strategic priorities, ensuring the team is clear on how this translates to individual roles and teams.
  6. Comply with Linfox requirements, policies, and procedures at all times, including the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management System.

Requirements

  1. 7+ years' experience in Transport operations or transport network planning environments.
  2. Significant experience in Leading Change and driving strategic goals.
  3. Operational experience, with significant knowledge of transport processes, compliance, and planning, with demonstrable application.
  4. A strong understanding of transportation technology and optimisation tools to drive outcomes across the logistics and supply chain space.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of the transport industry, transport equipment, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  6. Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain and transport optimisation and modelling / consulting methodologies, with strong presentation and executive level communication experience.
  7. Extremely strong understanding of transport operations and leading transition to leading or best practice end-to-end transport solutions, including last mile route optimisation.
  8. Highly advanced Excel skills, data analytics tools, and good competency in general business software, inclusive of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
