We are currently seeking a skilled Biosecurity Officer to join our organisation in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute individually and as part of a team to deliver operational activities for animal biosecurity and welfare in a consistent, considered approach.
- Provide accurate advice and workable solutions to management on biosecurity risks.
- Investigate alleged breaches of legislation relevant to the AB&W program within your work area and zone.
- Actively participate as a team player to foster a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and be part of a high-performing team.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of animal biosecurity and welfare principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the protection and enhancement of animal biosecurity and welfare in Queensland, while working with a dynamic group.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of animal biosecurity services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement new strategies to improve animal biosecurity and welfare outcomes.
