Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Tool Crib Operator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our tooling and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense serviceable tools and equipment to operational staff for aircraft maintenance activities
- Maintain and schedule servicing/repairs of tooling and equipment in conjunction with running frequent asset management tooling reports
- Support the operational business unit inside the tool crib dispensing consumables, radios and headsets to ensure the availability of assets to all operational staff in the area of responsibility
- Conduct administrative and compliance tasks relating to Aircraft Tooling and equipment directed by the Tooling Facilitator such as audits, stock-takes and reporting compliance matters
Requirements:
- Ability to correctly identify and understand aircraft tooling and equipment requirements
- Understanding of asset management and maintenance policies and work within the approved information data system
- Sound computer skills with ability to use all tooling and equipment standard desktop software's
- Experience in tooling management and risk assessment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Trade qualification in related field (desirable)
- Good technical background and knowledge of aircraft tooling and equipment
- Ability to problem solve during operational maintenance activities relating to tooling
- Ability to work across 24 hour 7 day rotational roster
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Initiative to manage urgent aircraft tooling requests when working alone
- Be a self-starter and motivated to anticipate constraints to efficient work methods
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Ability to obtain CAT II air side drivers licence
