We are seeking a proactive Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team. The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with our business stakeholders to identify and understand operational requirements and opportunities.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the key responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst will include:

  • Gathering and analyzing data to identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Developing and documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and converting them into technical specifications.
  • Developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of business solutions and strategies.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Providing support for project management activities.

About You:

The ideal candidate we are seeking will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a business analyst role.
  • Experience working with a broad range of IT systems across both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
  • Knowledge of business operations and supporting technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of business analysis techniques, including business process design and analysis.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive in self-learning and a can-do attitude.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex information in plain English.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.
