Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Spotlight Property Group team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a dynamic retail group in a collaborative environment where you'll make a tangible impact on our business.

  • Oversight of monthly P&L for Australian and NZ properties
  • Analysis of financial performance with insightful commentary
  • Preparation and reconciliation of monthly and quarterly BAS/GST
  • Conducting monthly general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Contributing to annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assisting with year-end tenant outgoings and outgoings audits
  • Supporting commercial tendering processes with data and insights
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and driving change
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in property accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and NZ tax and compliance
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Yardi preferred)
  • Advanced analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • CA/CPA qualified or in progress
