About the Role

As a Data Risk Specialist at Macquarie, you will be part of a global financial services group operating in 34 markets. Your key responsibility will be to assess and bring enterprise-critical data usages under governance.

You will be responsible for understanding and documenting end-to-end data flows and system processes, identifying potential data risks, and implementing mitigating controls. Additionally, you will be required to identify opportunities for enhancements of processes and controls.

About the Team

You will be part of Macquarie's Data Governance and Risk Team, which works with a wide range of stakeholders across Macquarie's support businesses to help our Risk Management Group continue to meet its Enterprise Data Management obligations and improve the confidence in the quality of the data.

Requirements

  • Strong business analysis skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels across the organisation
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and deliver on multiple streams of work simultaneously
  • Previous experience in data governance or data management
  • Good project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Relevant business, quantitative or IT related degree qualification
  • Enterprise Data Management tooling experience, e.g. Collibra
  • Data Profiling and Data Quality solutions, e.g. Informatica IDQ and agile delivery experience would be beneficial but is not essential
