About the Role

KPI Construction Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic & Yard Person to join our team in Upper Coomera, Qld. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team with a focus on safety, innovation, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel and petrol-powered vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with heavy vehicles, construction machinery, and petrol vehicles.
  • Auto electrical skills are a huge advantage for diagnosing and repairing electrical systems within the fleet.
  • Experience using a MIG welder is desirable for repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed in the maintenance database.
  • Support compliance with industry and environmental standards.
  • Assist in general yard tasks such as organizing equipment and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or equivalent Mechanical Trade.
  • Experience with both diesel and petrol vehicle maintenance.
  • Auto electrical skills highly desirable.
  • MIG welding experience is a bonus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with workshop databases for recording and tracking maintenance.
  • MR/HR license preferred.
