Job Description

The Animal Emergency Centre (AEC) provides premier after-hours vet care to sick and injured pets. As a leading emergency and specialist group in Australia, AEC hosts the largest contingent of Emergency Veterinarians in the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to both GP and ECC patients.
  • Utilize cutting-edge equipment, including multi-parameter patient monitors, in-house laboratory (PT/APTT and blood gas analysis), ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, blood products, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with both the general practice and emergency teams, sharing resources and staff when needed.
  • Manage a range of responsibilities, including GP surgical patients, pre- and post-op care, emergency consultations, and hospitalised cases.
  • Work alongside the Vet Director and Head Nurses to develop and refine the role, providing feedback to ensure the position is well-supported.
