Job Title: Logistics Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations at our distribution centre, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the loading of trucks to ensure booked deliveries are achieved.
  • Monitor shipments in transit and proactively address any delays or issues.
  • Build strong relationships with carriers.
  • Train and develop new/existing employees.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Implement quality control procedures to prevent damage or errors during despatch.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in logistics and/or management.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and possess problem-solving skills.
  • Prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
  • Adapting to continuous and rapid changes in business requirements or activity.
  • Committing to Safety, OH&S policies, and procedures.
