Improving Community Resilience in Post-Bushfire Settings
17 hours ago
We are seeking a researcher to join our team and contribute to a project focused on understanding how information was shared between actors and community members before, during, and after the 2024-2026 bushfires.
The research aims to identify best practices for improving information sharing and community safety in the face of natural disasters. To achieve this goal, we will be working with three communities that were impacted by bushfires and/or grassfires between 2024 and 2026.
This project is currently open for Expressions of Interest (EOI). We invite experienced researchers to submit their proposals outlining their approach to addressing the research questions. Successful applicants will be notified by late October.
Key aspects of the project include:
- Understanding how information was shared between actors and community members before, during, and after the fire.
- Identifying best practices for improving information sharing and community safety.
We require a researcher with experience in social research and community engagement. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Referrals increase your chances of success in this role.
