We are seeking expressions of interest from Field Ecologists wanting to start or further their career in ecological consulting. As part of a supportive, skilled and growing team, you will be responsible for conducting ecological field work.

The biodiversity sector continues to grow on the back of new and exciting projects as we shift towards a renewable energy future and seek to balance development with strategic conservation and offsetting outcomes. This growth brings with it amazing opportunity for passionate early career ecologists to join our team with secure workflow and incredible project variety.

Our ideal candidate is a graduate that has some prior experience in conducting ecological field work and is motivated to develop their technical skills in vegetation and flora identification and targeted species surveys.

Please note - whilst this role may involve extensive travel, we would consider applications from individuals located anywhere within Australia.

About You:

  • A degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science, botany, zoology or a related field.
  • A strong desire to work flexible hours and travel for ecological fieldwork including possible trips of extended duration (one week or greater) in rural or remote regions.
  • Experience in undertaking ecological surveys and a demonstrated passion for flora and/or fauna.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of plant community types will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work professionally in a team environment.
  • Capability to effectively communicate with colleagues.
