Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced clinician to lead our new eating disorder service in Tasmania.

The service is a new initiative delivering integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder, including community-based intensive treatment programs and a statewide residential recovery program.

Tasmania is part of a nationwide program delivering innovations in eating disorder treatment.

We welcome professionals with expertise in eating disorders who are innovators and have a passion for delivering quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist community intensive-based treatment for adults with an eating disorder.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Optimize clinical processes and client outcomes.
  • Effectively manage human and physical resources.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and change management to facilitate service development statewide and at a regional level.
  • Enhance consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.
  • Foster collaboration with key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program and registration with the relevant National Board.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
  • Registration/licences essential for the role must remain current and may be checked during employment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in mental health or a relevant field.
  • Experience/interest in eating disorders or other mental health conditions.
  • Experience in clinical and professional supervision.
  • Eating Disorder Credentialed practitioner.
