Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated mental health nurse to join our team, providing overnight support for our General Psychology Unit at a renowned healthcare facility. As a key member of the nursing team, you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager and work collaboratively with the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to deliver high-quality patient care in line with the hospital's care values and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients during overnight shifts, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive environment, fostering open communication and teamwork.
  • Deliver care that aligns with hospital policies and meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Minimum two years' post-graduate experience in a mental health setting
  • Recent experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Post-graduate qualifications in mental health highly regarded
  • Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
