About the PositionWe are seeking a seasoned Quality and Capability professional to join our Life Operations team. As a key player, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and fairness of life claims, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve team performance, analyzing data to inform senior leaders, and supporting quality assurance processes.
Your Key Responsibilities- Claims Review: Conduct thorough reviews of life claims to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and fairness.
- Team Development: Provide regular feedback and coaching to help your team members grow and improve their skills.
- Data Analysis: Gather and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, then share your insights with senior leaders to inform strategic decisions.
- Quality Assurance: Support the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and frameworks to maintain our high standards.
- Capability Assessment: Assess the capability of team members and recommend authority levels to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
- Audit and Improvement: Conduct deep dive audits to uncover trends and risks, then develop and implement plans to address any issues identified.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical experience in life claims, including knowledge of quality frameworks and risk management principles.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the insurance and superannuation landscape, including current trends and challenges.
- Relationship Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: The ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
- Leadership: Experience leading projects and presenting insights to senior leaders.
- Qualifications: Ideally, a relevant tertiary qualification, such as a degree in a field like business, law, or finance.
