Centre Manager Opportunity

G8 Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centre Manager to lead and develop a team at our licensed childcare centre in Pakenham.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the centre, including staffing, budget management, and communication with parents and stakeholders. They will also lead and support the professional development of the Childcare Educators and Teachers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the centre's daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and communication with parents and stakeholders.
  • Lead and support the professional development of Childcare Educators and Teachers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, following all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes teamwork and respect for diversity.

Requirements

  • ACECQA approved Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting, including experience in a leadership role.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
