The team operates within strict regulatory and compliance standards, contractual agreements, pre-defined risk limits, and established internal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective management of long-term gas contract scheduling and optimization is crucial to achieving optimal results.
  • Negotiating terms of gas sales and purchases with customers requires strong communication skills and strategic thinking.
  • Scheduling power station dispatch into the National Electricity Market (NEM) and Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) demands attention to detail and analytical expertise.
  • Analyzing gas and power market data to inform strategy enhances the team's overall performance.

Interacting with customers, partners, service providers, and pipeline operators ensures seamless scheduling activities. Engaging with the broader spot team around strategy and planning, market events, and items for escalation is vital.

Requirements:
  • A high level of attention to detail, along with the ability to prioritize and deliver with precision.
  • Numeracy and analytical skills are essential for solving complex problems.

This role requires working on a shift roster in the Brisbane office, which may involve availability at any hour.
