We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families, and possess excellent communication and time management skills.
About the Job
As an Occupational Therapist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with children who require therapy to achieve their development milestones. Your role will involve helping children develop everyday tasks such as bathing, getting dressed, brushing their teeth and feeding themselves. You will also educate and involve parents, carers and others to facilitate the development and learning of children. Additionally, you will help children with developmental delays learn everyday tasks and assist children with behavioural issues maintain positive behaviours in all environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Help children achieve their development milestones such as fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
* Educate and involve parents, carers and others to facilitate the development and learning of children
* Help children with developmental delays learn everyday tasks such as bathing, getting dressed, brushing their teeth and feeding themselves
* Assist children with behavioural issues maintain positive behaviours in all environments
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: A degree in Occupational Therapy, eligibility for AHPRA registration upon graduating, graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2025, a full valid driver's license, access to your own vehicle with third party insurance, a valid Working with Children Check, a clear current Police Check, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and First Aid and CPR certification.
