Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Ocean Freight Coordinator. As a key member of our global logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely processing of shipments, accurate data entry, and timely billing and accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipments Processing
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments according to Expeditors' operational procedures.
    • Follow customer's standard operating procedures and proactively notify customers of any issues.
    • Consistently meet KPI standards, as per company's procedures.
  • Data Entry
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Expeditors' operational procedures and customer requirements.
    • Monitor exception reports for quick data integrity resolution.
  • Billing and Accounting
    • Invoice customers the expected charges timely and accurately according to Expeditors and customer requirements.
    • Properly provision service provider charges to avoid reserves.
    • Follow proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the company.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in Ocean Freight
  • Effective Interpersonal Skills: Ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels.
  • Ability to motivate and work in a fast-moving, pressurized environment.
  • Previous experience with Word, Excel, Windows, and various PC-based Software.
