Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
- Renewable Energy Industry: In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Australian energy sector, including its challenges and opportunities.
- Deal Process: Ability to navigate complex deal processes, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
- Team Work: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Financial Modelling: Proven experience in financial modelling, with the ability to assess risks and bankability of projects.
- Investment Committee/Board Reporting: Ability to present clear and concise reports to senior management and the investment committee.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Prior relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Professional financial qualifications (accountancy, CFA/CA) and/or MBAs desirable but not essential.
- Eligibility to work in Australia – visa sponsorship is not offered.
- Core finance related business skills required:
- A commercial mindset, able to present conclusions and recommendations on investment decision making and articulate the impact of these decisions on potential investments.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Strong project management and organisational skills. The role will require balancing complex and regularly changing workloads and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial modelling and risk analysis.
