Senior Medical Advisor

We are seeking a medical expert to provide advisory services and expertise to support business decisions within our claims department.
The ideal candidate will have a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialist qualification, with post graduate qualification in medical, legal or insurance preferred. They will have detailed knowledge of the medical industry and the legal system, as well as experience in clinical practice (PGY > 10 years preferred), insurance/claims management, and legal affairs.
The key responsibilities of this role include providing timely advice and guidance on medical issues related to claims and claims management, educating staff and stakeholders in medico-legal matters, and promoting risk awareness and mitigation strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and advocacy skills. You will also need to be proactive, pragmatic, and able to manage your time effectively.
