Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to enhance our database efficiency and performance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert recommendations for optimization, analyzing DBMS performance, fine-tuning SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement database optimization strategies to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Analyze DBMS performance issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide SQL development support and query tuning to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Enforce architectural governance, database standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our database infrastructure remains competitive.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in PostgreSQL.
  • Solid understanding of HA solutions.
  • Experience in SQL development and database design.
  • Expertise in SQL, DML, and DDL.
  • Understanding of query planning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL tuning and optimization parameters.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL replication techniques and Amazon RDS support.
  • Advanced knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
  • Experience with container runtime and management software like Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
