Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the introduction of a new fleet into service and ensuring its reliability and availability meet contractual targets.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong leadership skills and experience in project management, particularly in the railway industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overall Project Product Introduction (PI) activities, ensuring timely delivery of all PI-related deliverables.
  • Mobilize Site and Processes to ensure effective execution of PI activities.
  • Work Package Financial Management to ensure budget adherence.
  • Support the Project Manager in representing the project in all Product Introduction-related matters towards the customer.
  • Represent the PI function within the Project Core Team and in front of the customer.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in project execution, with a focus on technical/industrial projects.
  • 5+ years of team management experience, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Railway knowledge and Alstom Rolling Stock knowledge is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills for remote teams in a customer depot environment.
  • EHS knowledge and customer contact experience.
  • Data analytics and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Testing & Commissioning.
  • Graduate in Engineering or Industrial; qualification recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).
  • Full unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Location
  • Base location would be one of the MTM Depots (Craigieburn/Kananoon/Newport).
  • Travel within the depots in the Greater Melbourne Metropolitan Area and Ballarat is required.
  • Occasional travel to other sites domestically and internationally may be required.
