HV Electrician

Cimic Group, a leading global infrastructure and mining contractor, is seeking an experienced HV Electrician to join our team at the Thiess Sonoma Mine in Queensland, Australia.

As a key member of our electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our high-voltage electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and testing of high-voltage electrical equipment and systems.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues.
• Collaborate with the electrical supervisor and other team members to develop and implement maintenance plans.
• Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, and OEM systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to maximize equipment utilization and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

• A Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate with post-trade experience working in the mining industry.
• Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007.
• Experience in high-voltage equipment maintenance and statutory testing.
• A Statement of Attainment for HV Switching.
• Registered Cabler would be an advantage.

• 7/7 even-time roster with 12-hour day and night shifts.
• Attendance bonus of $450.00 per fortnight.
• Retention Payment from 1st July 2024, $10,000 paid in 52 weekly payments, inclusive of super.
