Job Description:

As a skilled Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining hydraulic hammers, attachments, and rock breaking boom systems.

You will work on various equipment repairs, including stripping, assessing, and reporting on issues following manufacturer's guidelines. Your primary goal is to ensure efficient performance and support sales and service activities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in technical drawings, including General Assembly and Specific Engineered Drawings (Mechanical and Hydraulic).
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturer's manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Physical stamina to perform onsite work and travel for short periods.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

About the Role:

  • Equipment Repairs: You will strip, assess, and report on equipment repairs following manufacturer's manuals and drawings.
  • Hydraulic Installation: You will install hydraulic attachments on mobile and fixed plant equipment, conducting flow and pressure checks during installation.
  • Technical Drawings: You will read, understand, and work accurately with General Assembly and Specific Engineered Drawings (Mechanical and Hydraulic).
  • Equipment Servicing: You will assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment for service and repair.
  • Onsite Work: You will be willing to travel and work onsite for short periods for installation and servicing.
