Job Role Summary

About the Position:

The Market Risk Analyst role is a pivotal part of our team, responsible for the implementation and management of our Risk Framework and Strategy. This involves identifying, analyzing, and reporting on risks to ensure our organization operates within acceptable parameters.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers by enhancing our reputation and meeting their expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to provide policy interpretation on regional and local market risk policies and frameworks.
  • Gather information in a timely manner to support assessing Oceania's market risk performance against our policies and guidelines.
  • Support coordination of committee meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Monitor and prepare regular reports on Oceania's performance, including credit limits, loan due date checks, borrow ratings reviews, and audits to our policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update credit limits of front and back office systems.
  • Produce risk exposure and profit and loss reports for Treasury, Head Office, and regulatory purposes.
  • Identify and address exceptions in credit and market risk usage.
  • Manage middle office systems and assist in testing new risk management systems.
  • Document and update risk management systems regularly.
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong Excel skills with analytical experience.
  • A career interest in banking, particularly within risk management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and work autonomously and proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
