Job Title: Luxury Upholsterer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled upholsterer to join our team at a 5-star luxury estate. As a member of our interior design department, you will be responsible for crafting high-end furniture and fabric furnishings that reflect the estate's elegant standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Furniture Restoration: Restore and maintain upholstery in guest areas, lounges, private rooms, and event spaces to ensure optimal comfort and aesthetic appeal.
  • Material Selection: Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials in line with luxury standards to meet the estate's decor and seasonal themes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with interior designers, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to align upholstery with the estate's overall vision.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as an upholsterer, preferably in luxury hospitality, estates, or residential complexes or custom furniture.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of upholstery techniques, fabrics, materials, and tools, including leather, velvet, silk, and designer fabrics.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and craftsmanship to deliver exceptional results.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Physically fit with the ability to lift and maneuver large furniture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training and Certification: Formal training or certification in upholstery or furniture restoration.
  • Luxury Experience: Experience working in a 4-star hotel, luxury villa, or high-end residential estate.
