Job Description

Job Title: Medical Director Mental Health

Job Summary:

The Medical Director Mental Health will provide medical leadership and be accountable for clinical governance for all clinical work within the Mental Health Clinical Program. The role will contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, strategic and operational deliverables for the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical leadership and be accountable for clinical governance for all clinical work within the Mental Health Clinical Program.
  • Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, strategic and operational deliverables for the program.
  • Work closely and collaboratively as a member of the Mental Health Clinical Program leadership team.
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and increase collaboration and accountability.
  • Lead professional groups to achieve best practice clinical outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse range of professional staff.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate Specialist Qualifications for Consultant registerable as a Psychiatrist with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Hold and maintain appropriate registrations with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
