About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our APJ Public Sector team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in helping our AWS Partners accelerate their customers' cloud migration and adoption journeys.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for developing deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how of best practices when constructing applications and services using AWS. You will work closely with our AWS Partners to help them develop the technical capabilities needed to be successful in building and selling their cloud-based solutions to Public Sector customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in AWS technologies and best practices
  • Work closely with AWS Partners to develop their technical capabilities
  • Help AWS Partners build and sell their cloud-based solutions to Public Sector customers
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including Partner Development Managers, Business Development, Professional Services, and customer account teams
  • Represent AWS within a partner's environment and drive discussions with IT leaders and senior executives
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to developers and architects
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in a specific technology domain area, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries
  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and their architecture and infrastructure needs
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities
