About the Role

Gympie Regional Council is seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our Infrastructure Services Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support, including word processing, data entry, report writing, correspondence, records management, and development of standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in special projects, including procurement activities.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Analyse invoices, supply panel rates, costs allocation, and contract terms and conditions to achieve best financial outcomes for Council.
  • Prepare, append, reconcile, and record financial information via Council's online requisitioning system.
  • Process data input/upload files and process for payment.
  • Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment, which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.
  • Maintain a positive organisational image, which promotes good customer relations and maximises the provision of a high level of service to enhance the customer experience.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate, and problem solve effectively in a multidisciplinary environment within set guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to produce high-quality documents with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures, including time management, planning, and organisational skills to maintain deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner, with the ability to be tactful and discrete when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature.
  • Queensland 'C' Class driver's licence or above that is current and maintained.
