A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigator to join our team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual with solid experience in estate litigation or general commercial litigation to contribute to the success and growth of our top private clients practice.

The successful candidate will be involved in matters including large-scale and high-profile estate disputes in both the Supreme Court of WA and the Court of Appeal, including multi-jurisdictional estates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage files from inception through to resolution;
  • Run matters through court proceedings, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders;
  • Work proactively and autonomously, as well as part of a team, to achieve business objectives;
  • Apply technical, analytical and drafting skills to resolve complex legal issues;
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve client outcomes;
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team to ensure their professional development and growth.
About You:
  • Between 5 and 9 years of experience in estate, wills and trust disputes, within a large national law firm or a specialist wills and estates practice;
  • Excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills with a keen attention to detail;
  • Proactive and able to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Ability to organise and prioritise effectively;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Experience in, and a willingness to, supervise and mentor junior members of the team; and
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
