About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as a Credit Controller. In this position, you will play a significant role in facilitating the process of collection procedures.

Your key responsibility will be to monitor debtor ledgers on a daily basis and initiate related collection procedures in accordance with our policies. This requires building collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and practice groups.

You will also be the first point of contact for client issues, maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Following up overdue accounts, arranging for collection, and preparing standard collection letters in a timely manner.
  2. Collaborating with Partners to optimise the collection of aged debtors and providing regular updates.
  3. Maintaining the collections system on client accounts.
  4. Raising credit notes and actioning relevant reports.
  5. Updating client information and generating new client information with related credit checks according to our quality standards.

About You

Ideally, you will currently be working as a Credit Controller with at least 3 years of experience in office systems and computerised processes. Alternatively, you may hold a Certificate in Financial Services or equivalent qualification.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • The ability to work with and manage various internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and a high sense of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Competent knowledge of Excel and Practice Management software (experience using Aderant Expert is highly regarded).
